Founded by Danny Thomas in 1962, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® leads the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Research and treatments pioneered at St. Jude have improved the childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to 80%. At St. Jude, families are given fully equipped housing creating a sense of community and home during the most difficult times.
No child will ever be turned away based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay. Though it costs over 2 million dollars a day to operate the hospital, the families at St. Jude never see a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
Lancôme has raised over $12 million for St Jude since the start of their collaboration in 2010. Lancôme USA president, Xavier Vey says, “It’s a very important partnership for Lancôme. From September 29 to October 25th, Lancôme will donate $1 to St. Jude for every purchase on Lancôme-usa.com and at Lancôme counters nationwide. Please support St. Jude by making your makeup/skin care purchases through Lancôme exclusively until October 25th. You can also post on social to raise awareness.
